Lucid IDS was founded in 2003 to provide scalable documentation services. Today, Lucid IDS is a growing organization providing documentation, illustration and animation services to some of the world's best companies.

Muniza Arifin, President

As President, Muniza provides vision and direction for the company. She manages all aspects of the company's delivery structure, client service and business operations. Muniza has over 15 years of experience in information design, software development and project management with companies such as Freddie Mac, Rhone Poulenc, Nortel Networks and United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She has a degree in English and Economics.

Muniza is a member of the Information Architecture Institute, the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Society for Technical Communication.

Kippi Fagerlund, Practice Lead

Kippi is an award winning technical writer and information architect who brings 22 years of unique accomplishments and expertise to Lucid IDS. Her past experience includes years as a manager within large software engineering divisions where she used her expertise to create publications software and hardware test labs for Windows, Solaris, and HP-UX systems. Her interests keep her involved in information architecture, and search and indexing technologies. She is also interested in security technologies and attended a seminar on Advanced Countermeasures for Insider Threat sponsored by NIST and ARDA.

Kippi is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and frequently serves as presenter and publications competitions judge. She also won the International Technical Communication Competition and received the Distinguished Technical Communication award from STC. Kippi is also a member of ASIS&T - American Society for Information Science and Technology.

Kippi has a degree in English from Bates College and a certificate in Technical Communication from Northeastern University. She is completing a master's degree in Information Management at the University of Maryland.

Stan Prus, Senior Information Developer

Stan is an analyst and writer with nearly twenty years of experience in software development, knowledge engineering, and technical writing. He has developed textual analyses, white papers, and technical documentation for major database projects. At the Department of Defense, he served as a civilian programmer analyst, redesigning military logistics systems in Oracle.

He has a broad range of consulting experience: analyzing search engine performance, modeling work-processes for Network Operations Centers, and supporting research scientists in medical and laboratory environments. Stan is a Six Sigma Green Belt (American Society for Quality) and a Computer Programmer Analyst. Stan also consults for an independent film production company in Los Angeles, writing original material including screenplays, screenplay analyses, and scene-by-scene rewrites.

Michael Hunsberger, Information Developer

Michael is a technical writer with a strong journalism background. He worked at The Washington Times before joining Lucid IDS. Michael has a degree in Journalism from Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia and is a member of the alumni association. Since arriving at Lucid, Michael has quickly developed into a solid contributor, learning and mastering the latest techniques in information design. He just completed a series of training tutorials for a major geologic engineering client.
